How to use the territory planning calculator

There are two main sections. One for sales territory planning and one for franchise territory planning.

Sales territory planning - this is split into three sections
The first section is where you set your current parameters. Set these using the up/down arrows (by each field) or by double-clicking in each box and edit the numbers. The second section is where you set mileage and experiment with different scenarios that are the result of analytically balancing the territories more effectively. These focus on: a) increased visits per day; b) visiting more high-value customers; c) Increased loyalty by visiting the right customers at more appropriate frequencies; d) reduced journey time and cost. Move the sliders/arrows to make changes. The third section is where you see the outcome. In the boxes at the top right of the screen you would enter costs for Tech4T undertaking the work. The financial benefits are shown in green boxes and these automatically deduct the Tech4T investment needed for the territory design.

Franchise territory section
On the left side of the screen (Before) you set what you plan to be the number of territories and cost. Then, in the right side of the screen (After), you adjust the slider to see the gain once Tech4T create balanced territories - typically increasing the number of territories you can sell. The number increases due to the 'right amount' of opportunities being allocated to each territory and the balanced design process we use, rather than allocating too many prospects (and less territories) because that's how the counts fall when using higher levels of geography are used for boundaries.

NB. As calculator is designed to use 'UK Pounds' and 'Miles', you need to apply your own conversion ($ or Euro to £, or Miles to Kilometres) before you start.
